Taking a risk

Image
A risk I took was pursuing a career without knowing what I'm going into or not knowing if I'm going to like it. All my life I was set on wanting to be an architect specifically in interior design. I grew up with a dad who loves designing and creating things and he works/ manages a construction company. So I had a snippet of what it looks like to create things from scratch and watching it come to real life. I came into knowing architecture is based on math and math is not my strong suit so I was scared of going into architecture cause of it. I took the risk of having the mindset as if we don't take risks in life then what's the point doing things. In order to know what you want and to succeed you have to take risk. I overcame this feeling of being scared of not knowing if architecture is going to be what I want to pursue cause of math, was finding ways I can succeed in and overcome that roadblock. Math is a hard subject that takes time to learn. Its not something you wil

Ways I see myself creative

In what ways do you see yourself as creative? What roadblocks do you sometimes find yourself coming up against as you nurture your creativity? Ways I believe I see myself as creative would be in 2 ways, writing and drawing. Why I see myself as creative in these ways is for a couple of reasons. writing became a way in which  I  can express myself like a diary. Or when  I  am writing a paper for a class this is a way to show my teacher how  I am as a person outside of school. In school, I'm the shy type and barely speak. So being able to participate or show who I really am without talking is by writing.  It was another way for me to connect with people. Drawing is one of  the most common ones that I've seen ways people express  themselves. When I draw  I  use it to let my thoughts come to life with my drawings. I grew up with my dad building things and designing things so  I  adapted the use of drawing to show my creativity. I'm not the best at drawing but I'm decent to w

What drew me to take a class on creativity?

Why I chose to take a class on creative had to be that I was around artist and creative people growing up. My dad is a construction worker who builds building from top to bottom. When he wasn't a construction worker when I wanted something to be built for my room or a project or just anything my mom or brother would ask he would design and build it. This is also one of the reasons why I chose architecture to be something I want to do in the future. I grew up with seeing him design and built things for us. My father would have me there watching him and letting me help him. In a way it's a big part of my life to love creating things seeing it as an idea to coming to real life. He inspired me to choose architecture but mostly the design part of architecture as my career. Another person who had a big impact on me with creating things had to be my brother he was a huge artist growing up. The things he drew were mind-blowing. Thinking how his small little brain created those designs

The LUNARK

The LUNARK was built for the moon to find out new things about the what they call the "unknown" while they feel like they are at home. The interesting thing was how they made the livable space as an origami shape. They put lights which is produced by light panels. This resembles the daily sunlight. They also made it to wear they can care for algae indoors. They also explained how even if we live on mars or the moon we will still live our normal lives like we do here on earth. How they tested the LUNARK was basically living there for 61 days with having mental and physical journey in regards of them being isolated in something different. The main point of the LUNARK was to build a temporary home for people who will brought to the moon once they start sending them again!
